About Wedges 'N Woods

Celebrating 28th season!

The planning for Wedges ‘N Woods started in the early 90’s when Dave Kelman dreamed of building a golf course. With the assistance of Bob and Dave Moote, noted golf course architects, the search began for a suitable piece of property. They soon realized the more obvious need for a full-scale practice facility and found the perfect location, in the heart of Cambridge, on a former landfill site. Just off Hespeler Road, central to population and on a busy roadway for maximum exposure, the site also faced east to avoid golfers hitting into the setting sun. Construction began in the fall of 1993 with McLean Peister, a well-known local golf course construction company and after lengthy delays, Wedges ‘N Woods finally opened late in the summer of 1994 – the first facility of its kind located on a former landfill site.

Wedges ‘N Woods continues to be a family-run business. We strive to maintain a comprehensive facility where you can practice every club in your bag, receive instruction from a golf teaching professional or just have fun on our miniature golf. 2025 is our 32nd season!
